Force Art Projects is a Contemporary art appraisal firm that conducts appraisals for insurance, charitable donation and estate planning purposes.

Kristen Force has worked in the Post-War and Contemporary art market for over 15 years. In addition to founder and director of Force Art Projects, she is a founding partner of Ellis Force Art Partners, an Austin, Texas based Art Advisory. Kristen spent three years as a senior member of Ordovas, a secondary market gallery based in London, where she worked in sales, research and project management for Post-War and Contemporary art. Prior to her time at Ordovas, she spent more than 5 years in the Post-War and Contemporary art department at Christie’s, in New York. She began her time at Christie’s as a project manager and oversaw special projects for the department, most notably charity auctions such as, Artists for Japan, held in collaboration with Contemporary artist Takashi Murakami and 11th Hour in which Christie’s partnered with The Leonardo Di Caprio Foundation to raise money for environmental conservation. During these projects she worked very closely with several blue chip artists and their studios. After managing special projects for Christie’s, she became a specialist in Post-War and Contemporary art and worked in research and sales for all Post- War and Contemporary art auctions.

Kristen Force is a USPAP compliant appraiser with over 15 years of experience in appraising Post-War and Contemporary art. Prior to establishing her appraisal business, she oversaw research and sales at Ordovas, London. In this position she oversaw all secondary market appraisals for the gallery. Prior to her time at Ordovas, Kristen was a Post-War and Contemporary art specialist at Christie’s in New York for three years, where she worked closely with the Estates, Appraisals & Valuations department to conduct appraisals for insurance, charitable donation and estate tax purposes. During her time at Christie’s she completed over 120 appraisals and oversaw the Contemporary art department’s appraisal work for the nation’s leading museums such as The Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Kristen has B.A. in International Communications from Texas Christian University, a M.A. in Connossieurship, Art History and History of the Art Market from Christie’s Education and a M.A. in Art and Politics from Goldsmiths College, University of London. She currently resides in Austin, Texas and works with private and corporate collectors both nationally and internationally.
